Nick "of time" Hardy
Outfielder/Pitcher
Nicky is regarded amongst the vintage community as one of the finest ballists to have played. He is a young but seasoned veteran who amazes all who come to watch us play. Sure handed and strong armed and feared by many opponent. He grew up playing ball in Wethersfield and continues to make the town proud.

Emmett is an original Bulldog. He has played 1800 base ball for 12 seasons. He has played for various teams starting with with the Newtown Sandy Hooks and then onto the Wethersfield Red Onion. He has played all around the diamond and is known for being steady handed at 1st base. He loves the game even umpiring when recovering from injury.
Emmett was born and raised in Bethel where he raises his two children. He also coaches them and many others in baseball and softball.
Adam "Grabber" Grabowski
Outfielder/Infielder
Grabber started his vintage career with the Wethersfield Red Onion and soon joined the Bulldogs. He has proven to be a major contributor to the growth and success of the CBBCH. Always delivering in the clutch or making the routine plays when needed. When not competing on the diamond you can find him executing a roundhouse kick on the Karate mat or just being a great dad.
Drew Moran
Outfielder/Infielder/Pitcher
This young buck broke onto the vintage scene hurling from the box and dominating opponents in 1880s overhand. He has adapted well to the 1860s era of play and has shown himself to be one of the elite players in the northeast. He anchors down the infield or can back up his teammate Hardy in the outfield. His best years are still well in front of him.
Ben "Foxy" Fox
Infielder
Foxy is a seasoned veteran of the Bulldogs. He has been the cornerstone of the infield, playing a rock solid 3rd base. His power at the plate has pushed the CBBCH locomotive up the hill, especially at crucial moments of many a match. When not playing vintage ball you will find Ben serving his community as a
fire fighter.
Owen Brown
Outfielder/Infielder
This fresh faced scholar athlete is an outfielder for the CT Base Ball Club of Hartford who hails from Sandy Hook, Connecticut. In his very first season with the ballclub, he was named a John P. Martin All Star and was the recipient of the 2023 Nick Hardy Rookie of the Year Award. Michael "Ponch" Neville
Pitcher/Infielder
Lacing up the boots for his eighth season of play in 2024, Mike “Ponch” Neville enters the Diamond. Although seven seasons deep, Ponch is one of the youngest men on the club. Getting the vintage itch in 2017, Neville suited up for his hometown Lisbon Tunnelmen before being traded to Thames BBC, untimely finding a home with the Bulldogs in Free Agency. With Thames, Ponch became a five tool two way player before a season ending knee injury derailed him in 2020. Neville has re-invented himself as a defense-first finesse pitcher and infielder with the Bulldogs. In his professional life, Mike is a volunteer fireman and a media relations manager with a baseball team.
Brian "Barkeep" Donnelly
Outfielder
Barkeep began playing vintage base ball in 2007, earning the moniker working at the questionable public house in which his rookie club held their inaugural meeting. Prior to the Connecticut Base Ball Club of Hartford Keep has played for the now defunct Bridgeport Orators and Newtown Sandy Hooks. Preferring to play barefoot, Keep knows he isn’t as fast as his rookie year but still plays that way, often limping home to his wonderful wife and kids.
Chris "Duke" Hurtgen
Infielder
Duke is a founding member of the Thames BBC. Has made himself part of the Connecticut Base Ball Club of Hartford with his base ball skills but also his base ball IQ. A solid presence at the plate and a reliable veteran tending the infield. When he's not playing vintage he's coaching his children's teams.
Kevin "Cannonball" Kennedy
Infielder
Kennedy is a throwback, a grinder. If base ball is on the docket, he is there. Based out of Boston, Cannonball is a regular on the Boston Union Base Ball Club as their primary hurler. When he shows up on the field as a Connecticut Bulldog, he typically anchors the bag at first. Rest assured Cannonball is ready to do whatever it takes to catch, scoop or block anything coming his way.
Ron "Onions" Hudson
Outfielder
"Ronnie Onions" was an original Wethersfield Red Onion. His skill at the plate vaulted him up to the Connecticut Bulldogs club and continues to light a fire with the stick and has been known to hit a four sacker while chomping on a stogie.
Winfield Dobruck Jr.
Outfielder
Win made his vintage debut back in 2009 with the Hartford Senators. Joined the Bulldogs in 2022 and looks to make some noise this upcoming 2024 season.
Jay "Mister" Edwards
Pitcher/Catcher/Infielder
Mister came to the Bulldogs via the Newtown Sandy Hooks Vintage Base Ball Club. He is regarded one of the finest pitchers of the 1860s era. Brings plenty of steam on his fastball and keeps the opponent from tallying any runs. Edwards is a fine educator as well as a fantastic ballist.
Cam Norris
Outfielder/Infielder
Norris made his vintage debut in 2023 with the Bulldogs. His experience playing cricket made the transition to vintage ball a smooth one. Fielding with his bare hands came naturally. Looking for good things from Norris this 2024 campaign.
